Getting to Avesta

Avesta/Krylbo is at the railway junction of southern Dalarna, the station situated a few kilometres from the centre of Avesta. From Avesta/Krylbo you reach Stockholm C in 1½ hours by train, with several departures per day in each direction at present, all stopping at Arlanda Airport en route. There are also other train connections to and from and other parts of Sweden. The local trains also stop at the Avesta central station.

Borlänge: 45 minutes
Gävle: 70 minutes
Västerås: 60 minutes

Arlanda international airport is 60 minutes away by train, and there are smaller airports at Borlänge and Västerås.
