You have the right to enrol in Swedish for Immigrants if you:
• Are an adult (from July 1st in the year of your 16th birthday)
• Do not have a basic knowledge of Swedish
• Are on the population register of the municipality

A Swedish course must be offered by the home municipality within 3 months of enrolment to every student with such a right. If you are registered in Avesta municipality, you should enrol here if you wish to study Swedish for Immigrants.

Studying Swedish for Immigrants is free of charge. The course can be combined with other studies or with paid employment.
